this is because the motors are on a swing suspension and gravity works its
magic. if this happens often enough (you gig a lot with moving it on its side ,
anything but upright) the rubber washers that float the motors will wear out
as the motors are heavy. PLUS, the delicate balance needed to maintain the
interaction of the slow vs. fast motors may get misaligned. (anyone who has
adjusted the nuts on a slow motor to get the drop spindle to come in contact with
the fast motor's wheel at the right angle and pressure, knows what is being
talked about).... best way is upright with perhaps some foam padding to keep the
motors from banging around. Tubes, notwithstanding. a serious player will go
the extra mile and get a transpo setup that is safe to the player and the
equipment. a weekend warrior is taking chances if shlepping himself and his equi
pment becomes a cheech and chong scenario. (",)
