Subject:Re: BX-3, Electro
Hi Bruce!
I have just ordered my BX3, I donīt have it yet with me, and of
course anxiety is killing me. I decided to buy the BX3 instead of a
CX3 for many reasons:
First of all, i live in Mexico, and i have to shop my gear in Mc
Allen since here in my country organ clones and combos are very rare.
Still in Texas, no one could assure that they could sell me a Version
2 CX3.
Another reason, i love hammond sounds, and even when i play for a
band which requirements are playing some other sounds as well(piano,
rhodes sounds, etc), and i canīt just take a BX3 to my gigs, i would
like to have a full organ playing experience... Im not really a dual
manual player, but i would like to learn, cause ive read that with
dual manuals, i could do some licks and techniques that i couldnt do
with one manual only. It really worries me that the BX3 is a very
heavy keyboard, but i carry by myself a xv88 (58lbs)every night (cant
do it alone with an ATA case though). And i also worry about the fact
that i dont know how i will transport my BX3 to my gigs since my car
is a VW Jetta!! I would like to buy a case like yours by BT
productions, but no US store will accept my international credit card
(its from MExico), i hope i could get one custom made.
I know the BX3 is 72.6 lbs, but i have never carried one by myself,
so, can somebody tell me if i could carry it alone maybe with a lot
of effort??is there a chance that i could do it?? it really worries
me about the beer ill have to buy on every gig night, to bribe my
friends!!
Even with all this trouble, i prefer a BX3...
one question: and forgive my ignorance, since im still learning and
looking forward for my first organ playing experience... What stuff
could i do with 2 manuals, for example, in a Funk Band?? Is there
some techniques on a book or a website that you could recommend me?
Thanks ! its great to be in this group by the way!!
Eduardo
