Right. And the default data slider on the A33 is CC#7 Volume, its
expression pedal jack is CC#11 Expression. It seems like there
should be a way to assign CC#7 to the Expression jack, but maybe it's
not a feature of this controller; not in the manual. I love playing
the A33 (and A30) because of the great semi-weighted 76-key action,
and they're built like a tank. I'd try something added to keep using
them. I looked at the single rackmount 6x8 patchbay on eBay - plus
there was a floor unit with external transformer (bah!). How hard
would it be to set this patchbay up to send CC#7 both to V5 and synth
module from my A33 pedal (converted FC-7) in its Expression jack; if
that would be the method? I wince at the thought of another learning
curve, but "everybody's doing it," and I'd likely find more uses with
my other keyboards. For all I knew a patchbay was something sound
engineers used for concert stage PA sound setups - might be easier to
just use a regular volume pedal. But then there's the joy of
learning something new! #:^) Wj
