They are way louder, since they have an active amplification with twice
the power of the tube amp. The louvres are more open, which decreases
the modulation but increases the modulation. Distortion is different,
but if you use the 760 with a combo preamp, you won't be disappointed.
I had a 760, which was great. Now I have two 822 with different
louvres. Those are heavy babies but sound good to me.
In a live situation, a 760 is the right thing!
