Subject:CX-3 output level and Blue Tube (was: Not Hearing the difference...)
I've got a rack Speakeasy and not the pedal so I'm not sure if it
makes a difference, but tradtionally the Speakeasies like as much
gain as you can send 'em. I turn my CX-3 all the way up and adjust
my overall volume with my Speakeasy.
Just recently I've been experimenting with placing a PreSonus 'Blue
Tube' between the CX-3 and the Speakeasy and it really seems to help
smooth out my levels. Of course, it just adds one more piece of
gear into the rig, but it's tiny.
