I own it, and actually put it up on EBAY this week.(item #3703513063) It's pretty good...had the best digital piano sounds of any going until I got my Motif. I used the Premier Grand a LOT...sometimes layering it with the onboard Concert Grand. But mostly, I used the Premier by itself.

Dave, Carl has some great tips on the V-Combo. I am about 8 mos. into using mine and it does take a while to tweak for optimum sound. He and I are about the same on the organ settings. On his advice I am switching to European piano. I have been using Concert Grand. I also have the SRX Ultimate Keys soundcard and have been mixing in some of those pianos. The Elektric Grand is very fun to mix with the other piano sounds. Adding the Speakeasy preamp to my setup really made the difference though. Can't say enough about that! I am pretty happy with mine and time with it has made it better. Norm

I've been using my VR760 live for a bit now and I seem to have evolved a sound set for at home or rehearsal and a different set for live gigs. One big difference, for me, is what velocity curve I use. At home I use the 'heavy' option as it help me play far more expressively but at gigs I use the 'medium' option. As I also have a tendency to play heavier/harder at gigs this means that the softer piano samples hardly ever sound and I'm getting the harder/sharper samples most times. This brighter sound cuts better with the band but sounds a bit thin at low/home volume.
At home I use mostly the Concert Grand, type 2 mike with 'distance' at about 9 o clock, I leave the bass and treble EQ centred but add a little middle with both knobs at about 2 o clock. For gigs I have found that the European piano has a fuller sound at high volume without getting to harsh at the top end, I use the same mike settings but I leave all the EQ knobs centred. Live, my output goes through a 15 band stereo graphic at the desk and a little top end is boosted there. My own monitor is a 500W stereo amp into a pair of cabinets holding a 12" driver and a compression horn with a passive crossover.
I use exactly the same settings for the electric pianos although the mike sim become an amp sim.
Hope this helps. The VR760 is having a hard time getting approval. It is not as easy as some of the other clones about but I am having a great time with it live, particularly with the organ which I am now getting to grips with. I find I use very little fast Leslie (just highlights) the type 3 amp at about 12 o clock and I'm using fewer drawbars to get the same kind of sound I used to get from my Electro. Its worth persevering and get your head around this keyboard it is worth it!
