Subject:Re: Release date for the new Hammond clone?

But if this were totally true, then the new B-3 would
suck...and by all accounts, it doesn't. Yes, the Xk-2
and the XM-1 ,or whatever it was, don't measure up to
the CK-3 or V5...but that doesn't mean that Hammond
isn't stepping up to the table now.

It's all in what you personally hear. People on the
board raved about the CX-3. When I finally tried
one...well, lets just say I didn't buy it and I WANTED
to love it. I went in there with gear lust and it
didn't come through for me. I had a V3 and got rid of
it for a VK-7, so there is no way the V5 is going to
satisfy me since it's the same sound source.

I'll stack the B4 up against the CX=3 and V5 anyday.

In other words...many folks appear to have decided,
unheard, that the XK-3 will suck...and it might.
But...it might not. The only thing to do is play one
(preferably on a gig...that's the true test).

So, until May...the speculation will fly.
