Steffan, it would seem that that setup would allow the pedal tones to
remain pretty much unmodulated, regardles of the speed setting.
Frequencies between 450 Hz and 800 Hz would modulate with the horn
rotation rather than the "rotor", and the "rotor" would emphasize a
narrower but more prominant low-mid range. Because of the altered
rotor positioning in the proline cabinets and introduction of 6 x 9s,
I would guess that the modulation is different than if the same 150 Hz
to 450 Hz frequencies were run through a normal 122-style rotor. Did
you incorporate these differences into the EVB3's "Proline" cabinet
selection, or is that more similar to the "wood" cabinet model, less
some of its resonance algorithms? I'll have to play with it and
listen next time I practice. If you did, and my theory is correct, my
pedal tones should remain fairly unaltered regardless of Leslie speed.
Morever, it appears that these cabinets need a bit of rotor
replacement surgery to make them like a 122/142/147/145, in addition
to the obvious amp and crossover differences.
