Leslie models 715, 715C, 815, HL-722, and HL-822 are identical internally.
The only differences are in the cabinets, which are:
715 - Conventional wood cabinet in walnut
715C - Same except finished in medium oak for
Hammond "church" organs
815 - Black vinyl cabinet for "portable use"
HL-722 - Walnut cabinet, trim matches Hammond B-3000 console
HL-822 - Black vinyl cabinet, trim matches B-200 portable
Pluses: Four power amp stages, 215 watts, loud, punchy. Downside for
keyboard use: Rotosonic drum instead of a lower rotor, amps are early SS type with
interstage transformers, cheap 6X9 midrange speakers can't handle much power,
"harsh" sound compared to Leslie tube models.
