Maybe Tony is challenging us all to come up with something so hot and
juicy, yet on topic, that he can no longer stand to lurk, and he'll
just have to come back with a reply. I think he has far too much to
offer this group to just keep silent. There has to be a reasonably
fresh thread, or variation of an existing one, that we can stir Tony
back up - even within the confines of OT.

I for one, am mulling over my Leslie options. I've narrowed it down
to sticking with my EVB3 sim until I can get a "dream" Leslie. I
listened to a Pro-3t driving two EON 15s for the low end at a music
store, and no go there. They had a CX3 v1, and to me the MS rotor sim
was quite infereior to even the CX3 v1 (in stereo), while the horn sim
was only marginally better than a CX3 horn sim in stereo, unless I put
my head within 2-3 feet of it. I'm sure the MS-145 is a huge
improvement over the Pro-3t/EON arrangement, but I'm thinking the
cabinet is just not Leslie spec, and that cabinet does make a
difference. Same with 15" vs. 13" for the most part. Hell, what a
difference the "wood" cabinet setting makes in the EVB3's sim, vs. the
"proline" and onther cabinet selections.

I'm reviewing Leslie options, and am leaning toward a real Leslie,
with select aftermarket upgrades to deal with the marginal
power/volume issues of the 40W classics. Does a 760 cabinet sound as
rich as a 122, if the "guts" were apples-apples? How much are the
bass and overall tones enhanced by the 41" vs 33" shorty cabinets? I
love deep, rich organic tone. Basslines, even with some pedal tones
mixed in, are part of my playing. What about a Speakeasy with a more
powerfull 920 solid state proline? Any thoughts, experiences, etc
would be greatly appreciated. Hmm, I wonder if Tony would have any
knowledge or valuable insight on Leslie cabinets and setups?
