Was this Woodstock for the jetset?
I enjoyed the Grammy's for a change.

The B is back and actually never left. "To B real...." must've been the
theme. Did anyone see any synths? Real strings why don't ya?

Its been a bad year for the record industry simply because of the illegal
downloading of intellectual property. When the economy is bad, r&b is up even if
the pied piper happens to be Justin Timberlake, (who did well, I thought, for
singing and playing at the same time and on a Rhoades). It's the backbone of

the music industry. Hence the commemoration of the Funk bros., who anchored
Motown, and "earth-to-George (Funkadelics), we need you". This and the artist's
angst for the "what's going on" anthem undertones, funk is

back because funk is depression. And Yoko's give peace a chance..choking....
was the knell. Prince ripped and Beyonce literally fanned the flames. It was
so hot he had to throw his Tele down. Was great to SEE more B3

and actually hear it!!!! They even had aerial views of the keys and drawbars.
Now where did they stash that Leslie?

Sound guy had a few oinkers in the feedback and room vs. D/I sound dept. I
wonder what Celine thought of the squeals at 1K? Her in-ear monitors must've
sucked. Sting sang his tail off on Roxanne. And the rocker draggin'

bar was wild !!!! White Stripes had some white balls to get up there and play
with just a drummer and pull it off singing at the same time. I was looking
for some purple haze to get lit. The tune is catchy even if you 'd hate to
admit it. Reminded me of the Animals' sound with Eric Burdon. Michael McDonald did
well for an impromptu "what a fool believes" He still has some pipes. So does
Cristina A.

I kinda liked the fusion of jazz and rock. Foo Corea was a jam at best. It's
a break from rock and cRAP. Eminem was almost brown M&M's... Oops now where
did I put my bling-bling...
