Just a couple of comments:
1. What is so wrong with one of the biggest acts in "pop" music using a
Fender Rhodes and B3, these things should be celebrated. Why would anybody
have a desire to play them if they are simply going to ostracized by the
"elites" who are not on stage, that they aren't playing it good enough, I
guess they could just sample it and stand at a microphone.
2. Isn't it about time to let go of the whole white/black thing in
music. Bill Evans played with Miles Davis how many years ago? The list
could go on and on. When the list quits being written by young and/or
popular musicians, it will no longer be paid attention to.
3. I see the Justin Timberlakes being to a monster musical band (like
Tower of Power, who by the way was a glaring omission out of the funk
section) being the same as a Bobby Darin singing a "jazzy" tune like Mack
the Knife. It sure is a whole lot closer to what I consider as great music,
I guess I would rather have 50 percent of art than 50 cent.
4. There was much more groove in what Timberlake was doing than Chick
Corea playing New Age pentatonics.
Mike

p.s. I would much rather Timberlake expose his lack of chops and look like
a boob than...
