Subject:Re: Leslie 2101
With the XK-3 connected via the L/M output, the mute switch does not
have much effect on the output. I didn't have the volume turned up
very loud so I don't know if the effect increases as overall volume
increases but when switching to mute it does seem to lower the
volume some from the small tweeters near the top. Also, the small
amount of hiss is stopped. So it seems that it is mute as in
quieter, not as in off. With the 11 pin cable connected (and the XK-
3 set to 2/3 channel Leslie) and the switch set to mute, the brake
button on the XK-3 turns the stationary speakers in the 2101 off
when the brake light and Leslie on lights are both off. When the
switch is not set to mute, the brake and Leslie on buttons both off
lowers the volume from the stationary speakers, but doesn't silence
them.
