Subject:Decided on the CX-3 instead of th XK-3.
I spent two hours playing both the Hammond XK-3 and the korg CX-3.
The Korg was stacked above the Hammond and I went at both of them
relentlessly. The Hammond looks better and sounds excellent; then
again it was getting pumped out of a Leslie and the korg out of a
standard amp. The leslie simulation is better and the parmater
adjustments made available to the user a greater on the Korg than
that of the Hammond. What pushed me towards the purchasing of the
Korg and not the Hammond was a factor that should be right up there
with the sound. The action on the Hammond sucks. If you blind folded
yourself, muted the volume and played at the manual of the Hammond,
you would swear you were playing a cheap digital keyboard. It looks
and sounds like a B3, but feels nothing like one. Just the response
from the keys of the XK-3 pushed me towards the Korg. The korg is an
amazing clone and with a leakage and leslie adjustment, the Korg was
my choice.
