Hi Bill.

I bought Norm's KP-200S. I love the sound, and it has enough power
for my needs except for the clipping issue, accurately described by
Daniel Wright (cccccccrrrrraackkkkk!) in one of the other replies to

I replaced the resistor as shown in the diagram; you have to open the
front AND back of the amp, remove the low-range speakers so you can
disconnect the wires which enables you to pull out the board enough
to get to the offending resistor and replace it.

It's a project.

My amp is improved, but still clips a little at high volume,
especially when I use my Alesis QS7.1's Rhodes voices, so I'm going
to try a different resistor, 300 k or so, but I ain't got around to
it yet (see above...). Hopefully it'll make the difference. It's a
pisser, it's so close to being a great amp.

You might be better off with two powered speakers (maybe run your
keyboards through a small mixer), a lot of the cloners have gone that
route with excellent results, and NO lack of volume issues.
