There is a parameter for the Leslie (#9 on pg. 69) that provides for
the "peakyness" of the horn. Also something to consider is the
crossover point of the amp you are playing through. It is possible
there is a slight dip in frequency response at that point and it may
be right in the middle of the horn's range. I think this may be the
reason the Leslie 21 System's lower unit has it's crossover at
700Hz, so it doesn't interfere with what would be going to the horn
when it is used with the digital Leslie. If you think the XK-3
sounds good out of the box, try some old 50's/60's era GE or
Raytheon tubes in it.
