I think the Leslie simulation on my XK3 is good when ran mono. I'm
using my JBL EON 15PAK to run it through. I turn down the highs and
cover the horn and it sounds good. I ran it through my stereo when I
first got it and realized imediately the key click was too loud for
running direct. I also realized when I used the JBL or an old Ampeg
all tube bass amp, it sounded better and the Leslie simulation
sounded better, because it was mono.

I played a gig several weeks ago and used the JBL with my XK3 and
miced it, it sounded great through the PA. When I play the XK3
through one of my 122 Leslies it's awsome! I just got an 1122 kit
last week and it works great with my XK3 and Leslie. I have an old
Trek II UC-1A that I used before that. I mainly got the 1122 kit so
I could control a Leslie from the XK3. The first time I hooked the
XK3 up to one of my Leslies, I was blown away. I couldn't believe
how it sounded, just like my 1955 B3. I spent day's running the 2
through the Leslie and couldn't tell a difference. The XK3 is by far
the best clone made!
