It's easy to use the VK7 as a controller. Just set the transmit channel to the module's receive channel, etc. The VK will transmit velocity and program changes, and you can set each drawbar to transmit any controller messages - very cool! If you had an Electro module for example, you could use the Vk's drawbars to control the Electo's 'drawlights' - very cool! The only drawback for soloing with a synth sound is no pitch bend wheel on the VK.

Subject: [CWSG] VK7 controlling piano module
Interesting post about using the XK3 to control modules. Can't afford
an XK3 yet so has anyone used the VK7 to do this? I'd love to set it
up to have it control a good piano module on one or two of the presets
Any info would be greatly appreciated.
To the old VK7 user who now uses an XK3. Is the XK3 that much better
really? You have me thinking
Thanks
Bill
