Subject:Re: 145 road case
Hey Eamonn....I have RNR flight cases (made here in DesPlaines, ILL). They are the industry standard, and make cases for everyone from Elton John, Pink Floyd, the Rolling Stones, to McDonald's, Hewlett Packard and everyone/thing in between. They're not cheap. A touring grade case for my leslies cost about $650 apiece. They're really nice, but they won't fit in the bottom of a touring bus. Even though we tour, I don't use the cases, I use padded covers by LeCover (also in Illinois, Barrington). The covers cost me around $80 apiece I think. If you go with a flight case, call Mike Crutch at RnR and tell him Tony Orant sent you: 1-847-299-8100 (http://rrcases.com/). If you call LeCover, tell Larry I said hello...1-800-228-3878 (http://lecover.com/). I've used the padded cover and it's worked fabulously for 4 years running.

Hi. I wanted to try and get some advice from folks about touring carrying a leslie. I'm going to be doing a heavy road gig and I intend to bring a souped up 145 out with me. Is a road case the only way to go (leslie will be stowed along with the rest of the gear in the trunk of the tour bus)? And who makes good road cases or does anyone have a 145 case they'd like to sell?
As always thanks,
Eamonn
