the effects send/return is mono only, because you are still in the
virtual tonewheel mode. The tonewheel generator in the real Hammond
produces a mono output, in fact going into the leslie is mono, the
rotating horn and rotor makes it stereo, just like the XK3 has it set
up. The FX out/return is probably for an external tube amp
processing or reverb or other effect you want to use instead of the
built-in effects.
