Subject:XK-2 mods?


Folks:
Has anybody out there had any mods done to their Hammond XK-2? I was
pretty happy with my XK-2 until I bought a nice A-100 recently.

I know that there are audio people who upgrade microphone preamps
and such but I haven't found anybody on the net who advertises XK-2
upgrades.

I'm playing left hand bass and have a hard bop jazz quintet with two
horns, guitar and drums. I use a Leslie 303 and recently bought a B3
tube preamp thru EBay. That helps but the XK-2 still doesn't have
anywhere near the beef that the A-100 does.

I'd be grateful for any suggestions.
