I think that you can use one of these to send a control change #64
message to the XK-3. http://www.midisolutions.com/prodfsw.htm
It will send a value to turn the hold on when you press the foot
switch, and a value of 0 to turn it off when you release it. You
will have to set the MIDI input to IN1/IN2 and transmit on channel
one. Actually, you may be able to get what you are doing now to work
if you set the MIDI input to IN1/IN2 and send the CC64 message on
ch. 1 or 1,2 & 3. I am able to send a CC#64 message to hold and
release the upper manual from a Peavey PC1600x by changing the MIDI
Input setting. Having the PC1600 send on all channels will hold both
manuals and the pedals as well.
