If it's more presence and a hotter output you're looking for on the Electro, there
have been a number of posts on the Electro Yahoo group about using the
headphone jack for output. People have been happy with the results, and you
can still do the hard pan routine, albeit with splitter adapters. I'm mostly
interested in "accuracy" vis a vis a Hammond, and to my ears (IMO) the
Electro is as close as it gets. I've taken to using only it for certain gigs I used to
cart a Hammond and Rhodes to, and the only issue I've had is how wimpy it
looks all by itself on stage, compared to the big-boy setup. Musicians come
scouting around for where all that "Hammond" sound is coming from --
looking backstage, even. I'll take the wimpy look though, in leiu of a
chiropractor.
