More V5+ Fun:

So I’m sitting in my studio with the new V5+ and wondering, what does it sound like through my 122 sitting over in the corner? I ‘m thinking of checking out a Speakeasy on Ebay because I don’t have a pre-amp with which to connect up the two. But wait! What is that phono plug down near the pedal box on my A-100? You guessed it. In a half-hour I had a MIDI controller and my V5+ sitting on top of my A-100 with both running through the Leslie! Amazing!

So I A-B’d every setting I could think of on the two instruments. They sound remarkably similar! There is a very slight overall difference between the two, but I’ve played other Hammonds that have sounded way different. The chorus is dead on and the percussion is very close. The only real difference in attack comes from the Hammond’s multiple triggering versus the Voce's single triggering. Perhaps at the lower end the two diverge slightly, but overall they are very much the same. Excellent!
