Subject:Re: Rig Config for Gig

When you control the V5 with the RD700 now, I take it you aren't doing a keyboard split. I don't own an RD700 (I bet there's a Yahoo group for it though!), so I don't know if the RD does splits with midi; I know some of the presets have a split with bass in the LF and pianos in the right, but that doesn't necessarily mean it will send on 2 midi channels.

Check the manual appendix for SPLIT.

Hello fellow Hammond lovers:

Question: I use a Voce V5, and Roland RD-700 for other sounds, mostly
pianos. Voce out is to a combo preamp and leslie 145. RD-700 has a
separate line out, usually straight to the board. Upcoming gig
requires me to pump bass on the RD-700 with the left hand, by
splitting the keyboard. Is there a way I can send the MIDI'd Voce
(upper part of keyboard split) to the leslie, and just the Bass
(lower part of keyboard split)to the soundboard? Understand that some
songs I would want to play bass in left hand and piano in right, and
obviously none of that going through leslie, and need to be able to
alternate between those two setups on the fly.
