Subject:Re: XK-3 Leslie sim edit question.

Scott, you're totally right. And I've given some thought as to why I think the Electro sim is more "okay" with me than the XK3's.

What I think is that because I can't tweak the Electro sim, I don't worry about "geez, the ramping speeds are just off here". I can't fix it, therefore I stopped worrying about it, just like the weather. On the other hand, the XK3 sim will do something that I'm not happy with and then I'm obsessed "geez, I've got the ramp speed right, but the chorale just isn't sweep-y enough for me," or "does the fast speed seem a little TOO fast", and I just start obessessing about it.

So from now on, my answer will be...no, wait, it'll be.....um....uh......der...duh....

you, or anyone else here, compare the internal Leslie sound to that
found in the Nord Electro? Thanks!

Here's my axe to grind:
I think anyone seriously interested in these boxes needs to audition
them for themselves. I no longer think anyone else's opinion on
something that is so subjective has much meaning. Maybe if 40 people
all said the same thing, then it might mean something.
