Subject:Re: Motion Sound vs Leslie?
I just want us to be clear about something. When you
say Leslie - you are all referring to used Leslies.
Used Leslies are quite rare in my part of the country.
Everyone scrambles for one when one becomes available.
I know of a couple of stores that won't sell them
separately without an organ attached to it. (With how
scarce they are, I don't blame them.) Ever notice how
many organs are sold on Ebay WITHOUT the Leslie?
The pricing on the MS 1771 has not been announced yet.
So, all of the assumptions that it will be more
expensive than a Leslie (used) are premature. But, you
are probably correct. Used Leslies can be priced all
over the place, with the high end being in the
$1600-1800 range. The MS 1771 will probably be higher,
considering the other products that MS offers.
From what I can tell the MS1771 will be about the size
of a Leslie 142. That's not so big!
