Subject:Re: switched to the XK3?portable Leslie 21?

Actually, the Leslie 21 System includes the bottom speaker cabinet which as you noted works with a rotor sim. The cost of the two units (the 2101 top and the bottom cabinet) is less than $2k. (The same as the MS Pro-145, which I'm sure is priced lower than MS1771.) Those 2 pieces still weigh less than a leslie, especially because they're 2 pieces (for more portability and flexibility in terms of rig set-ups, especially if you don't feel you need a bass cabinet: the low rotor sim is built into the 2101 so you can use whatever you want or nothing at all). The 2 pieces together really do sound great. (check my review from March or April for more detail not only on tone, but set-ups and options)

Which brings us BACK to square one again....the 1771 will weigh more than the Pro 145, the Leslie 21 SYSTEM (both pieces), or at least as much as as a real leslie (as well as being as large, which the Leslie 21 and Pro 145 are not) and cost more than any of these options.

Since you have friends willing to help, why are you waiting? GO GET A LESLIE TODAY AND ENJOY THE TONE!!!!!!!!! And save some money!!!

Also, according to the diagrams on the HS website,
there is no bass rotor in the 2100 system. It is done
by simulation. This must mean that you have to plug in
the 2101/02 into another speaker cabinet or the 2121
bass cabinet, which, again, does not have a real bass
rotor. Hey, don't you guys care about that???

Now, I am really looking forward to hearing the new MS
1771. I don't care what it weighs. I have friends!
