Why not try in- ears? I used to lug all that stuff
around until I did a gig where a Shure rep was running
the sound and let me try a pair. What a relevation!
For just monitoring yourself onstage, they might do
the trick. Try the non- sealed type earpieces with
them. You get some leakage but you can also get more
of live feel of the rest of the band and don't feel
isolated. Our drummer got one with a low end "shaker"
that fit on his drum throne.
Easy set up/tear down, less stage footpirnt and less
trips to the chiropractor/
