I love my Roland VK-8M paired with a Roland A-33 76
key keyboard controller. With the A-33 I can split the
keyboard and knock the lower keyboard section down an
octave to perfectly mimic the lower manual of a
Hammond.

I have never tried the XK-3 but am curious. I
originally owned an XB-2 and loved it but let it go
due to the extremely poor keyboard action.

Cosmetically the XK-3 is very applealing but I would
really have to play one to give a honest evaluation. I
would rather wait a year to see if the XK-3 comes down
in price and see if Hammond applies a software upgrade
before I seriously consider it.

Big question for me is does it suffer from the dreaded
high end shrill demon as all clones played at high
volume do?
