Subject:Re: So how many have switched to the XK3?
Me not 3. I could round up enough money to buy an XK3, but would not
switch (why?) from my VK8 and/or Electro 73. I like the rotary sim on
the VK8 better than the Electro because it is tweakable. They are
great but different Hammond B3's, 1 on the NE, more than 1 on the
VK8. I don't care for the rotary sim on the Electro quite as much
(although it is a fine new/reconditioned 122) because it has just a
bit "too quick" horn slowdown from fast speed that small-pullys, new
tight belts, etc give - it's a personal taste thing. Moot point most
of the time with Pro-145 and slight adjustment. In a space vs time
grab a keyboard and go pinch, I still take my Roland 76 key
controller with SC-8820 synth module and a few good organ presets; a
Booker T sound, a few nice Chorus/Slow Rotary Organs, and a Fast
Rotary somewhat Dave 'Baby' Cortez sounding, that will cover the
necessary organ bases; add some great-to-good pianos/ep's and tons of
synth into KT-80s or Barbetta Sona 32c <- yeah I got this one.
