Subject:Question for Group Owner/Moderator(s) ---> i.e. My Group
I'd have prefered to email privately to the owner on this issue, but
since I've not the owner's address, I have no choice but to bore the
rest of you....
I took over the ownership duties of another Yahoo Group. It had spam
problems which required me to delete, ban, and heighten group
settings to "Restricted Membership"....Here's the problem:
People are requesting membership, I'm approving their membership, but
their User ID's and email addresses are not appearing on the
Membership Roster like they're supposed to. I own another group with
similar settings, and there-- the moment I approve membership, the
new member appears on the roster.
Does every group work slightly differently, or could it be that the
person changed their mind after I approved them? I'm kinda' still
new at this, so what has been your experience? Do your new
members appear on the membership roster the moment you approve them,
or do you have to wait for them to post their first message before
they appear?
