Maybe he WAS the Anti Christ cuz Jerry Lee Lewis was always on his show trying to make a comeback after his "marrying the cousin" scandal! Dunno! Sorry bout the old B&W. Back then most repairmen could bring them back to life! These days we just toss 'em!

He carries a special superstition with me.
As a child watching The Lloyd Thaxton Hop after school, they were about
to go to commercial and Lloyd jokingly said, "don't change that channel
or your TV will be all messed up". I, of course, changed the channel
and it DID! That old B&W never worked right ever again -- the repairman
pronounced it dead.

Though I'm not ready to declare Lloyd Thaxton as the AntiChrist, messing
up our TV like that comes pretty close ;-)

Let's not forget Myron Floren the accordian player with the wavy
hair. Jo Ann Castle WAS the best part of that show. They were all good
but they didn't ROCK! Gimme Shindig and Hullabaloo or Loyd Thaxton or
