I listened to Lost Brotherhood today. It's not bad, but it didn't hit me all that hard, you know? I actually like what he did on Styx's last new record (last year) CYCLORAMA. There is some very good material on there....the band didn't get lazy at all, the writing is excellent, the performances are top notch. I'd like to find a live DVD of these line up. Now Ricky Phillips is a new addition to the band (he's been in for about 6 mos apparently). Glenn Burtnick was in the band (he was a strong writer when he first joined Styx....not having followed the band that closely, I can't say whether DeYoung was in the band or not, but I'm thinking not....but I remember that Burtnick was doing a lot of the writing) and I'd REALLY like to find a dvd of that particular line up.

By the way, for the Spinal Tap fans out there, their stage set was priceless! Stage Right:12 SVT Stacks, 2 high the tall way!!!! and 6 across. And the other side of the drumkit were Marshalls stacked 3 cabinets high with amps on top! TOO DARNED FUNNY!....and just that one wittle keyboard! lmao!
