Congrats Ed! Just think of it as a great learning experience and your abilities being put to the test. Hey you get to hang with this guy, you're lucky! We want a full report on his gear, playing and how your band did. My local fair here on Camano Island is this weekend and the featured act is Mickey Thomas' Starship. I am looking forward to seeing him but I wish it was Little Feat!

My band, Groove Daddies, will be opening for Little Feat when they play the Illinois State Fair this upcoming August 17th. I know
some of you guys get out on the big stages on a regular basis, but we're just a little bar band playing 'Brown Eyed Girl' on the
weekends, so to put it mildly, we're pretty stoked about this. Actually, the thought of performing minutes before Billy Payne takes
the stage frankly scares the shit out of me; I may require a Guinness or two to calm my nerves. But at least I'll be able to watch
Mr. Payne work his voodoo from real close up.
So, if you're traveling through the Heartland that week, it's always worth stopping to see a Feat show.
