Subject:Question about logic evolution from Voce MicroB.

Hi guys,

Let me wonder about options to buy a drawbar based module:

Think about a person who loves and considers B3+147 as the
the real thing, since late 60's

It was near impossible to buy here even a A100 here (ARG) in those times

My evolution was from Farfisa Fast5 (with a Leslie-Pasadena/OEM
12" allso by Farfisa) in the later 60's
In the mid 70's a Yamaha Electone BK20 and early 70's a Yamaha Electone D-80
with builtin sorta Rhodes sound and decent vibraphone (unless at the 70's)

Imagine that it was a wow ! for the late 70's

The flutes of the D80 still today sounds are decent

I remember the smiles of Billy Graham's known keyboardist: Bill Fasig, when I let him
to take mine at a Buenos Aires Stadium just like as small favour for free.

Then he could to breathe again seeing my Electone D-80 with Leslie, as an option to a second piano out of tune
as he came here with Cliff Barrows , BTW keyboardist also in the Billy Graham team

The Yamaha D-80 came with built-in Leslie two speed rotary speaker, but missing 1" flutes,
2nd harmonic percussion, decay, keyclick, etc.

In the 90's I purchased a Roland E36 (inteligent synth with Midi, GM and Roland GSM)

I used it to jump last year MIDI world with a VOCE microB.

My ears told me that the best sounds I could get was when mixing
the Roland preset for jazz organ , #33 with Leslie sim) and overdubbing
that with my VOCE microB (model 1).

Sometimes I was satisfied hearing something resembling the real thing
with this strange "multitimbral, overdubbed, poliphonic" sound I guess
result of additive synthesis.

As I have a huge Leslie clone (Yamaha RA100) with electronic varispeed
and real rotary horns my concerns are more on the sound rather than
motion at the moment.

I usually go for a gig once year for my church (let's say Gospel obvious) so
I am not the most demanding as a pro would be (eg. demanding a full CX, VK or a Nord)

I wonder which would be my next logic step (in terms of portability/price)

Ranked from low to higher prices (of my knowledge)

a. Voce V3 module (it doesn't matter if it lacks of good leslie sim) + V3 drawbars (hard to find)
b. B4 (Native Instruments) + www.midiboutique.com controller
c. Roland V5
d. Voce V5
e. Roland VK8M
f. Voce V5+
g. Oberheim DB-3

Anything lost in my list ?

BTW, is there anything like a CX3 module ? (real or announced)

Sorry but I don't remember if such thing actually exists

Thanks a lot.

Rafael
