Subject:RE: At the risk of starting a range war.........

I just thought I'd drop in my opinion. I use an original JBL Eon 15 and it
kicks major "arse". Our guitar player calls it the nuclear keyboard amp. We
are one of the bands that have stage volume wars. Our vocalist/bassist runs
the vocals and his bass mix so loud it could make your ears bleed. Our
guitar player plays with his amp facing away from him on a stand, miked
through the PA and expects to be able to hear it from his stage/vocal
monitor.(???)And always says you can't hear the guitar...Hmmm??? Our drummer
has what I would call the nuclear snare drum. It's made from bubinga wood
and is about 8" deep and loud as hell. He also says he can't his own drums
through his monitor because of everything else being so loud on stage. Go
figure...I've considered ear monitors for myself with an ambient mic but I
don't think it would help. Anyway my JBL keeps up just fine with everything
else and is clean/powerful/mono. Our PA is mono as well unless we use a
sound man his rig is stereo. I wouldn't mind others chiming in on
suggestions...
