Subject:More on Casios - 691, 3000 and 3500
Someone asked if the Casio 691 is the same as the 3000 and 3500 . The answer
is basically yes. The CTK 691 perhaps has a few less features but most of the
sounds are the same. It has 61 keys, which was a plus for me for
portability.Someone else commented that the organs sounded bad in a gigging situation
because of all the effects. I agree - even when I am practicing I turn the DSP
effects off for the most part and unfortunately the percussion , which as I
commented is not very authentic sounding. The leslie sim on the Casio is not bad
however......
Any way I was hoping to hear if anyone else had one of these. I
went for the CTK 691 for 179 bucks and I am getting my money's worth of practice
time at places where I normally wouldn't get much practicing in. A pretty
good axe for quick low volume rehersals etc.
