Subject:Re: Soundside Mods to VK8m - Tweaking Those Drawbars
Best strategy with the clones is to listen to the
recording of the Hammond sound you like and then tweak
it out. With the VK-8M I have been very successful at
duplicating(come pretty close)some signature organ
registrations, such as:
Machine Head(Jon
Lord)788877000-percOff-vib/chrOff-rotaryBypass-Vintage1orClean-TypeIV-OD55-tone0
Santana(soul
sacrifice)888400800-percOff-vib/chrOff-rotaryslow-Vintage1-TypeI-OD127-tone0
I was also able to pretty much duplicate The
registrations Felix C. used with the Rascals and found
that the tone control was the key to duplicating those
registrations.
Bottom line is to have fun and use your ears,
everybody has differnt tastes with regard to Hammond
registrations.
