I've never owned one of these cases, but right away I can tell you they are of dubious quality, if for no other reason than none of the hardware is recessed. The handles are mounted on the outside of the case (ripe for pulling OFF) and the latches are "trunk-style" and also mounted outside the case instead of the butterfly latches that are recessed and are protected against being sheared off when packed into a van or somewhere else. If you're putting this stuff into your car or mini-van, and you're the only person handling your gear, then the choice is your's: you'll take care of the equipment appropriately, but you will find the interior or your car or van scratched to hell after a month because of the exterior hardware...that is if the latches dont get broken off first.
$139 isn't that great a price for a case of this quality.
