Subject:Re: OT: Standtastic in Europe?
Magnus,
I live in the UK and ordered one of these stands direct from LM
Products in December last year. After sending an email and waiting over
a week, I phoned the number on the website and spoke to someone called
LJ, who was very helpful, and gave me a great deal on the stand. He also
told me that they had some problems with the email address listed on the
site, and at the time had a backlog of something like 250 messages.
The bad news however, is that the cheapest courier delivery to the UK,
along with the import duty and VAT effectively doubled the final price
to me.
Having said that, I am very pleased with the stand - it folds into an
extremely compact and easily transportable package (in the supplied
case), and can be setup and taken down in seconds, and as a bonus has
plenty of legroom and space for pedals.
One thing to watch out for however is that although the tiers can
technically be angled, the increments are very large, which means that I
have to mount my CX-3 horizontally above my XP-80. This does make for
quite a height difference between the two keyboards, particularly if you
want to be able to read the display on the lower one.
Overall, I would definitely recommend the stand if you can face the cost
of importing one.
