Hey Carl,
For basic Hard Rock I use the "Rock" patch. (Pretty cliche-ish huh?)
Funny, because I don't like the sound of it by itself but sounds fairly right
on with the whole band playing. Ballad type stuff I use the "Grand" piano
patch. Ain't no Steinway but works for me. Putting it through the new PA though
really made an improvement. Had been running it through a Super Reverb. Really
not sure what the hell the E.P.s are supposed to be emulating, sure ain't no
Rhodes or Whirly I've ever heard. Never use "em on their own. The only
combination I use is "Classical" with "E.P. 1." Nice full sound with that kind of
tinkly/bell nuance. A bit like the sound on some Bruce Springstein tunes. I'm
actually pretty happy with it for the price range and weight. And hey, close enough
