Someone on another list (might have been years ago on the Hamtech list) wrote about how he wired or somehow fixed up his Leslie so that horn & rotor rotated in the same direction. He said it sounded very wierd. If that's the way they were originally done, that moght be the way we would be used to hearing them today, but the post about opposite rotation giving you a more complex sound is probably a very valid point. The opposite rotation also makes sense when you think of both sections of the Leslie using the same type of motors. One set faces up & the other down.
