Subject:Re: Born to Be Wild Registration and Effects

I was fortunate enough to meet Steppenwolf at Sunset Sound Studios, back
in the '60s, before they got big. Now I don't know if that was where
they recorded their much heralded tunes, but I used the studio's B3 and
Leslie for some recording and it sounded just like the setup on the
records. I was only about 16 or 17 then, and didn't know that much
about Leslies, but I do remember it seemed awfully annoying to me at the
time. I expected it to sound brighter and change speeds faster. Brian
Ingolsby (sp) was the engineer there. Soon after, I bought a 122 for my
Farfisa. Oh yeah!
