Subject:RE: Edirol PCR-80 / Behringer FCB1010--For Sale: Midi-Solutions Switcher
This discussion caused me to look in my "previous rig" box, the one with all kinds of gadgets for when I was running an elaborate Kurzweil K2600r system with an external keyboard controller. I discovered that I have TWO Midi Solutions Footswitch Controllers. After scratching my head about why I ever wanted two, I remember that I only wanted sustain (CC64) to go to one channel on the Kurz and nothing else. Also, I was doing crazy things like preprogramming riffs to be played live in real time, while I played other parts. The second footswitch controller was used to input tap tempo (via footswitch) so my programmed riffs would follow the tempo shifts of the live band. I mean crazy only in the sense that it was too much to be paying attention to at gigs, and I'm having more fun just playing organ and piano.
The little box has 1/4" mono switch pedal in, and midi in/out. I have the tiny manual; you program the box to send whatever CC you want by using this:
MIDI Solutions Processors Programming Tools (version 1.0.6), which is downloadable for free from their site.
I want to keep one for exactly the purpose of this thread. But I'd sell the other for $80 plus $5 shipping. It has the usual gigging scuffs and scratches externally, but works perfectly. Contact me off list.
