Subject:Very useful Midi adapters!

So, I was still wondering how I can use my FC-7 pedal with a midi controller that doesn't
have a jack for an expression pedal. SOmeone mentioned using the Behringer FCB1010 foot
controller, but that's a bit much for me, and it doesn't look like the angle range on the
pedal is as large as the FC-7. Anyway, on the Midi Solutions website, they sell all
sorts of midi adapters, one of them being an adapter that changes the a regular
potentiometer pedal signal to a Midi signal, the model is the "Pedal Controller". I
guess I would need something like that. But it's a bit expensive, $140 just for that
part. I also would need an adapter that can accept more that one Midi In cable into my
soundcard, since I would have to send the signal from my keyboard and the FC-7.

Furthermore, If I really want to control the drawbars on B4, perhaps I would also need
something like the Doepfer Pocket Fader, which would require yet another Midi In slot.
This is becoming quite a setup. Is it really this complicated or am I missing something?
Perhaps I'm not taking advantage of the Midi Thru slot that are available on some
keyboards? But from what I know, the Midi Thru is only for connecting Midi messages in a
chain. I'm just interested in using the B4 in a live situation, so I need a lot of Midi
Outs going into the Midi In of my computer's soundcard. Am I right?

Thanks as always,
Aram
