I have one as well as a V3. It's not perfect but its not bad. Better than a lot I've heard. If you get one be sure it's the micro B II. Bill O.

Subject: [CWSG] voce micro B... thoughts?
Please share some thoughts...

I've had an opportunity to hear lots of synthesizer tonewheel
emulations and dedicated tonewheel clones, whether they be in a music
store, in my studio, or online demos. The tonewheel sounds that I
get from my current synthesizers (Ensoniq ESQ1, Roland D50, Yamaha
DX7) aren't unpleasant, but they are pathetic compared to modern-day
dedicated clones, or even modern synthesizer emulations (Motif,
Triton, etc.)

The gamut of recent hardware with drawbars (CX3, VK7, VK8, VK8m,
Electro, V3, V5) are all wonderful sounding. The prices seem to
range around $500 for a used Voce V3, all the way up to $1800 for a
new CX3. It will be awhile before I can afford any of these.

However, money is tight for me right now and I wondered if a Voce
Micro B (which seems to go for $150 - $250 used) would bring me
*some* tonewheel joy? No drawbars, but probably sounds way better
than what I have (Ensoniq ESQ1, Roland D50, Yamaha DX7).

Craving *the sound* (on a budget),

Chad
