Actually, on most of In Rock, Lord uses a Leslie. However, on Machine
Head he uses the Marshall. He explains this quite clearly on the great
DVD: "Classic Albums: Machine Head".

Just wanted to tell you about something I just tried... I put my new
Korg Cx3 in an Marshall Guitar amp and... wow... I got so isprired...
That is the "beast" sound Jon Lord talks about in some interviews. He
played hi C3 through an guitar amp also, to sound more "guitar-like" and

distorted. You can hear this on "In Rock" and "Mashine Head". So, try
out at home, its just curios... ah and dont forget... lesliesim off and
"amp type" to preamp... :-)
