Subject:Re: VK7 control Electro?
Okay, this post is REALLY old, but I just found it. FWIW, you -can- change the CC# for the drawbars on the VK-7. Mine are now set up for the B4.

What are you meaning by the above? Is it possible to assign any cc#
to any drawbar on the VK7? Usually the numbers are fixed.
Like 16ft cc#20 5 2/3 cc#21 etc.
The Electro responds to its own fixed designated midi controller cc#s.
If these numbers are the same as the VK7's ( which is not likely )
then the VK 7 would control the Electro. If not, but each of the
VK7's drawbars each have a separate cc#, they can still control the
Electro's bars, but you will need a Midi Solutions Midi Mapper to be
placed ( in the midi line ) between the VK7 and the Electro. The
Mapper re -assigns the numbers to match the receiving ( Electro )
module or keyboard's numbers.
Midi Solutions have a PC edit program for free download from their
web-site.
I use a Viscount DB3 to control the Electro's upper drawbars and a
separate Doepfer Pocket Fader, to control the lower drawbars.
This works a treat.
