The YC-20 is a single manual combo organ built like a tank with an octave
(reverse keys) which can be split off and used for bass. It has the paddle
type controls which adjust the various footages like Hammond drawbars and it
also has paddles for percussion. There are two sets of controls and a
balance control so you can fade from one sound to the other, kind of like
two presets. It was as close to a Hammond as you could get at the time, but
still has a very nice combo sound. It's the same generation as the YC-45D,
only single manual and a little simpler. This one has one modification - a
toggle switch which is wired to a 1/4" jack on the rear of the organ. This
was used to switch speeds on a Leslie. The expression pedal stores inside a
small trap door in the bottom of the organ. Very cool.
